Bahrain's King Hamad on Monday issued a new law on real estate. It dictates that the fee on sale shall be 1 per cent of the total value of the property. According to the GDN, citizens who were granted loans to purchase a housing unit or a housing plot will be exempted from the decided fees within limits of the loan.
