The promoter of one of Bahrain’s most important property developments has told Bahrain Tribune that real estate investors have switched their focus from Dubai to the Kingdom.
Fahad Salem Al Mannai was speaking on day three of the Bahrain International Property Exhibition (BIPEX) 2006. He said: “I think now Bahrain is changing. What we get from clients mainly is them saying that Dubai has peaked – in terms of prices, not in projects happening."
His optimism was based on what he said had been a strong response from visitors to the Riffa Views display at the exhibition. Al Mannai is also a spokesman for the Riffa Views development.
He said: “We have been selling – luckily – very well. We are marketing approximately 600 houses right now, and we have deals for more than 300 houses from those 600. We have 150 sold and another 150 reserved. Those figures are from two months ago so now they will have increased.”
