The Bahraini government is planning to provide housing units for citizens through a phased program and in the first phase a total of 13,563 families will benefit from this national initiative.
According to the Bahrain Tribune, the initiative announced by the King, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, as a royal gesture on the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations will bring a major relief for thousands of Bahraini families.
The total cost of the housing and other relief initiatives announced Saturday may top BD300 million. The financial cost of new housing units does not include the price of land which will be acquired by the Ministry of Works and Housing under the Royal decree.
