A Gulf fund to fight disasters, especially in the aftermath of terror acts in the region, has been proposed by Bahrain's Deputy Dr. Ibrahim Al Abdullah. According to Bahrain Tribune, the fund could be established if the Kingdom approves and forwards the proposal to the GCC Secretariat.

Dr Al Abdullah conveyed the fund could prepare the Gulf countries to face natural and manmade disasters including terror attacks and help remove the negative social and economic impact of disasters by motivating the GCC states to join forces to bolster stability and security.
