The name of a new resort town being built off the Busaiteen coast has been changed from Bandar Al Seef to Bandar Al Saya. According to the GDN, Muharraq Municipal Council member Khalifa Jassim proposed changing the name, after a natural spring in the area.
The government has directed $80 million to finance the project, which was approved by Parliament in 2003.
Work on the project, located west of Busaiteen, in an area of 228 square meters, will start by the middle of next year. It will include a commercial road lined by several 10-storey buildings housing offices, coffee shops and other commercial ventures.
