A new BD300 million town is to be built in Hidd, as a private development, the GDN has reported. It will take five years to complete the first phase of the project, to be built by Al Enma'a House for Real Estate.

The development will include government and private homes, in addition to a five-star hotel, Al Enma'a general manager Manaf Hamza told Muharraq Municipal Council members at an extraordinary meeting Tuesday.

It will be linked to two new projects in the Muharraq Governorate - Galali Housing Project and the Grand Busaiteen Project, said Al Enma'a representative Hisham Zaman, who gave a presentation. "The project includes 533 government homes, 400 luxurious houses, 256 villas, 374 apartment buildings, with storeys ranging from four to seven," he said.
