Plans to expand the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) and to build a second one are advancing, the GDN reported. This year, the Bahrain Convention and Exhibition Bureau (BCEB) is involved in the organization of 16 shows. The BCEB is going forward with its plan to expand the BIEC by 3,000-square-metres.
The BIEC is at present covering 14,000-sq m between its two halls. The expansion is needed in view of the growing demand for space by exhibitors, the newspaper added.
