A new proposal to issue BD50 and BD2 banknotes, plus BD1, was rejected by Bahraini MPs Tuesday, the GDN has reported. Two MPs tabled the proposal to the parliament's financial and economic affairs committee. The committee, however, rejected the bid, noting it would be "too inconvenient and costly for the government."
