As part of its campaign against software piracy, the Bahrain Ministry of Information recently conducted a raid on a computer user and seized over 50 PCs loaded with illegal software, including Windows 98, Windows 2000, Office 97, Norton AntiVirus 2000, Norton Anti Virus 2001 and Adobe Photo Shop.
Bahrain is one of the most active countries that is firmly cracking down on software piracy by tracking resellers responsible for peddling illegal software products as well as end-users who are infringing the copyright laws in the country. Business Software Alliance (BSA) is aggressively monitoring the prevalence of counterfeit software market through feedback from authorized resellers on a continuous basis.
