Billions of dinars are needed to buy off private property for government projects, Bahrain's Municipalities and Agriculture Minister Ali Saleh Al Saleh told MPs Saturday. According to the GDN, he added that many infrastructure and development projects are being delayed because landowners do not wish to sell.
The minister disclosed that the ministry was facing difficulty purchasing private land worth BD120 million from landowners north and south of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway.
