Lack of land for new homes, as well as 40,000 pending housing applications at the Bahraini Works and Housing Ministry, will have "catastrophic" results in the near future, an MP warned on Wednesday. "The Bahrain government must take immediate measures to resolve the housing situation in Bahrain," Parliament services committee chairman Dr Ali Ahmed was quoted as saying by the GDN.
