Some landowners in southern Salmabad, Bahrain protested in front of heavy machinery in their bid to halt a housing project. Central Municipal Council member Abdullah Al A’ali told Bahrain Tribune that the owners did not agree on the price offered by the ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture.
At the beginning, the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture offered BD4 per foot. The owners rejected the offer because, as they said, the actual price was BD12 per foot, the newspaper added.
