The Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) hospital will be using Oracle’s Collaboration Suite as a key tool for communication and knowledge-sharing.The decision to install the software was made following a full review of the hospital's current technology.

Realizing the benefits that a fully-integrated, consolidated communications platform could bring to their organization, executives at the BDF hospital decided to migrate from Microsoft Exchange to Oracle technology. One of the key incentives behind the project was the capability of the Oracle Collaboration Suite to consolidate BDF's system around a single server, thereby reducing costs and lessening the impact on network bandwidth.

Oracle Collaboration Suite is designed to manage all of a company's messaging and collaboration needs, delivering voice, wireless, Web and desktop access to all communications including email, voicemail, fax, files and calendar on an enterprise-class, scalable, reliable, available and secure infrastructure.

BDF services inpatient, outpatient and emergency patients and ranks as the second largest hospital in Bahrain. The main mission of the BDF hospital is to provide health care services for the Military and Interior forces, emergency services for the public, and specialized medical services for referral patients and government VIPs. All Bahrain residents and non-residents are entitled to free health care services and treatment. — (menareport.com)
