The Bahraini Minister of Works and Housing revealed that the housing project, which is planned in Buhairat Qalali, will include 580 housing units and will cost BD17 million ($45 million), according to the Bahraini newspaper, Al-Wasat News.
The tender for the dredging and reclamation works in the site of the project was issued at the end of 2004. These works scheduled to end in November 2005, while the project as a whole is expected to be ready by 2007. The project is located in Al-Muhrreq Province, and there is a detailed program regarding its environment, including construction of shops, schools, mosques, and the road network to connect the project with the adjacent Qalali village.
