Residents in Sitra have petitioned the Central Municipal Council for two pieces of coastal land to be turned into a recreational site. According to the GDN, now the council is to ask the municipality to buy the adjacent pieces of land from the two private owners.
The council will send out a proposal to the landowners soon, said environment and health affairs commissioner Abbas Mahfoodh.
