Bahrain’s two-year state budget for 2007-08 was passed by the Shura Council Saturday, despite some members doubting the accuracy of its figures. According to Bahrain Tribune, the budget, which directs BD3.73 billion for expenditure and allows for income of BD3.35 billion, was approved with as much as BD1.02 billion earmarked for projects.
Oil revenues were estimated from refinery incomes which would generate BD56 million for each year as well as the incomes of Abusafa oil well, raw oil and natural gas.
