Austrian delegates hold bilateral trade talks in Oman

The Sultanate of Oman imported 4.7 million rials worth of merchandise from Austria in 2000 while the value of Omani exports to Austria amounted to only OR 23,000, reported ONA

 

A session of trade talks was recently held between the Omani and Austrian officials to discuss and consult on the best ways to enhance bilateral economic and investment cooperation and increase trade exchange between the two countries. 

 

The Austrian ambassador to Oman said there were many areas for bilateral cooperation, notably in tourism, information technology (IT) and privatization projects in Oman. He extended an invitation to the Omani private sector to visit Austria and meet with businessmen there to discuss potential investment opportunities. — (menareport.com)
