Saudi beverage production and confectionery distributor Aujan has installed some of the latest packaging technology as part of continued efforts to enhance its production and distribution operations.

Aujan Industries, based in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom, has invested more than $30 million with the installation of new filling lines. The latest addition to the factory complements the increased polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle production facility added last year.

The new technology, which will package some of the Kingdom's favorite brands including Vimto and Rani, gives Aujan the capacity to produce up to 1.5 million per day PET bottles.

Aujan's production facilities also incorporate a glass non-returnable bottle line and a Tetra Pak package-filling capability for a range of sizes and formats, enabling the company to cater to a diverse range of markets and adapt its manufacturing according to consumer needs. Aujan has recently installed one of the most advanced PET machines in the Kingdom to produce its own patented sports cap for the children's drink Hani.

Aujan changed its status from a limited-liability company to a joint-stock company earlier this year in a move designed to ensure the company was well-placed for continued growth and efficiency.

Founded in 1905, Aujan produces Vimto, Barbican and Canada Dry. The company has also successfully launched several high profile brands of its own, including Rani fruit drink and the children's drink Hani. Aujan is also the sole distributor of Cadbury's chocolate and Wrigley's chewing gum to the Kingdom. — (menareport.com)
