The Bahrain All Share Index ended the month of August on a positive note when compared to July, closing at 1,517.02. Therefore, increasing on a MoM basis by 0.98%.
Market capitalization increased by 0.98% at the end of the current month to reach approximately BD6.24bn. There were 12 advancers and decliners, while the prices of 25 companies remained unchanged.
Moreover, the value of shares traded inccreased by 91.05% to reach BD9.66 mn. In addition, the volume of shares traded increased by82.47% to reach 47.01 million shares.On the other hand, the number of transactions increased
by 51.66% to reach 2,375 trades. Most of the trading was concentrated in the Commercial Bank Sector, which witnessed BD5.35mn of trading value, capturing 55.39% of the total value of shares traded on the BSE.
