Car manufacturer Audi Middle East has reported strong sales growth for the Middle East in 2003. Abu Dhabi experienced the strongest growth with sales increasing by 20 percent. Qatar and Saudi Arabia also recorded strong growth figures of 15 percent and 10 percent increases respectively. Dubai increased sales by seven percent over 2002.
Despite the instability faced by the region at the start of 2003, Audi experienced unparalleled demand following the introduction of the new A8 in 2003, stated a press release. The Middle East responded enthusiastically with a sales increase of 48 percent in 2003 over the previous year.
