Aston Martin is offering its V12 Vanquish and DB7 Vantage auto models through its new dealerships in the Middle East. In 2001, Aston Martin re-entered the Middle East in partnership with its regional distributor, Mid-East Auto Distribution (MEAD) who is based in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone, where they have established an extensive stockholding and spare parts facility.
One of MEAD's prime responsibilities has been to appoint a regional network of Aston Martin Dealers throughout the Middle East and Levant territories. Following a detailed analysis of numerous candidates, Dealerships have been successfully opened in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. Dealerships in Jordan, Syria and other territories will be announced soon.
Al Khalid Automotive from Kuwait was the first official dealer to launch the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish and DB7 Vantage at the beginning of this year. The second big opening for Aston Martin took place in Bahrain at the showroom of the dealer Montana Motors. Haji Hussein Alireza & Co celebrated was appointed Aston Martin dealer for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Al Hamad Automobiles launched Aston Martin in Qatar.
Mid-East Auto Distribution is currently in discussion with potential candidates for UAE dealership and a decision will be made shortly. Aston Martin now has an annual turnover of 1,500 hand-built vehicles and increased the number of dealers worldwide from 65 to 140 dealers. The United Kingdom (UK) is the biggest market for Aston Martin, followed by the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
Both the DB7 Vantage and Vanquish models have been re-engineered to meet the demands of the severe climatic conditions of the Middle East – especially where a combination of extreme heat and high humidity can push the ambient temperatures well over 50 degrees Centigrade. — (menareport.com)
