Managed services provider ASPGulf, part of Al-Bawardi Enterprises (AE), has entered into an agreement with Canada’s Sterling Computers to host its integrated modular ERP package. The cross-platform Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, called Multivision, will be hosted by ASPGulf’s recently-launched hosting division, hSPGulf.
Initially, hSPGulf will be responsible for the entire hosting infrastructure including the provisioning of day-to-day services. As ASPGulf becomes more familiar with the intricacies of the Multivision software it will take on responsibility for the administration and maintenance of the application itself says, ASPGulf’s CEO, Tony Sparks.
“Phase 1 will see the deployment of the Multivision application within a hosting environment, with help desk, site administration, telephone/internet support and pre-planned on-site consultancy days still part of Sterling’s remit,” said Sparks.
“Phase 2 will see Sterling Computers become an ASP in its own right. It will simply sub-contract its hosting requirements to ASPGulf as well as first line customer support, allowing it to concentrate on sales channel development and customer service.”
Based on Oracle technology, Multivision is a modulated and platform agnostic ERP solution complete with English/Arabic interface. This approach allows customers to configure Multivision to their requirements and develop the solution in tandem with their business.
Launched in March 2000, ASPGulf is a professional managed services provider, helping organizations to ‘mind their own business’. Part of the Al Bawardi (AE) technology group of companies, ASPGulf provide an array of services for the management of hardware and infrastructure access, together with the technical and managerial expertise in computer services, to public and government organizations. — (menareport.com)
