The Arabian Technical Contracting Company (Artec) recently won a 250 million Emirati dirhams ($68 million) tender, to carry out the infrastructure development of a new international convention center in Abu Dhabi. The project, which will include guest accommodations and leisure facilities, is estimated to run a total cost of Dh 1.5 billion ($408.4 million).

Within the framework of the project, Arabtech was contracted by the Abu Dhabi government to pave roads and build a mosque and temporary residence facilities for the site’s workers. The Jeddah-based Artec deals with the construction, maintenance and associated electrical and mechanical requirements of roads, bridges, tunnels and expressways. The company’s authorized capital stands at SR15 million.

A second tender for the construction of a large storage facility, made of reinforced cement, with a 110 million cubic meter capacity will soon be publicized. A third tender is soon to follow, for the construction of a laboratory for testing building materials. — (menareport.com)
