The Saudi Aramco Company recently started developing the Al-Katif oil field, reported Al-Hayat . This field is planned to produce 500,000 barrels of light Arabian oil per day. The project, which is expected to be completed by 2005, consists of building units to convert oil from gas, building a facility to treat gas under low pressure and units to extract sulfur. In addition, the project includes renovating three existing sulfur-extracting units. — (menareport.com)
