Exhibitors from the globe and the region will be launching a wide range of new-generation products for laboratory applications at ArabLab the EXPO, the annual international trade fair dedicated to the Middle East laboratory and instrumentation industry. The exhibition, which will be held from January 31 to February 3, 2005, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC), was inaugurated today (Monday, January 31, 2005 by Qasim Sultan Al-Banna, Chairman of the Dubai Department of Medical Services (DOHMS) Board and Director General of Dubai Municipality.

Speaking at the inauguration, Qasim Sultan stated: “The exhibitions industry is one of the largest contributors to Dubai’s economy. ArabLab 2005 has grown by 30 to 40 per cent with regards to number of exhibitors compared to last year with a whole host of new products and solutions being introduced in the Middle East. The show is instrumental in helping Dubai establish its position as medical tourism hub.”

“The medical sector is in continuous development and the facilities available in the emirate are on par with the Western world. Patients can expect world-class treatment and facilities, due to the stellar efforts of DOHM and Dubai Municipality,” he continued.

“The Arab Lab and Instrumentation Show serves as a strategic platform for global and regional exhibitors to showcase new technologies targeting the Middle East and North Africa region,” David Domoney, Managing Director of THE DOMUS GROUP, organisers of the show. “This year, an impressive line-up of exhibitors are set to unveil unique products, enhancing further the status of the show and enabling trade visitors to watch various demonstrations of technological advances under one roof. One of the highlights of the show is that the exhibits go beyond healthcare to areas like education.”
