The Arab Investment and Foreign Trade Bank (Arabift) posted a 40.27 million Emirati Dirhams ($11 million) net operating income in 2001, reported Al-Bayan . The bank’s revenues totaled Dh 146.9 million in 2001 and the bank’s expenditures totaled Dh 116.7 million. The Chairman of the Board, Khaled Al-Bustani, described the bank’s net income in 2001 as satisfactory, especially if one takes into consideration the performance of the banking sector in the region last year. — (menareport.com)
