The Arab world’s car manufacturing industry faces a serious threat of collapse in the upcoming year, as sharp competition is expected to emerge in this sector, the Arab Industrial Development Organization (AIDO) anticipated in its recently released report.
The organization reported that the automobile manufacturing and assembling industries in the Arab World are encountering serious difficulties in marketing their output, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat.
AIDO estimates automobile production in the Arab World at 110,000 vehicles annually. The organization placed Egypt in the first place in terms of production volume, with 76,000 vehicles. Morocco manufactures 25,000 vehicles a year, Tunisia 3,200, Algeria 2,125, Saudi Arabia 1,800 and Jordan 100 vehicles. — (menareport.com)
