Arab African International Bank net income plummets 58.6 percent

The Arab African International Bank (ABBK) posted its financial results for the first nine-month period of the financial year 2001 ending September, in which net income dropped 58.6 percent to $6.9 million, compared to $16.8 million in the same period last year, the bank disclosed.  

 

Net interest income dropped 8.5 percent, registering $15.9 million compared to $17.4 million in the nine-month period of FY00. Provisions surged to $5.3 million compared to $1.1 million in the comparable period last year. — (menareport.com)
