More details about iPhone 17 Air
Experts anticipate that the iPhone 17 Air will be the thinnest iPhone ever released. The device will be approximately 6.25mm thick, 25% thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16, which measure 6.9mm, according to South Korea's Sisa Journal.
The iPhone 17 Air will start at $899, making it both affordable and compact, marking 2025 as a significant year for Apple with this upcoming release.
Sources revealed that no plus models will launch alongside the iPhone 17 Air this fall. The screen size will range from 6.1 to 6.7 inches, and the battery is expected to be smaller than in previous generations, potentially affecting battery life. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a single headphone jack, according to MacRumors.
One of the unique features of the iPhone 17 Air is its reliance on eSIM technology, as Apple focuses on developing next-gen communication technologies.
On the other hand, recent leaks suggest that the device will feature a 24-megapixel front camera—double the resolution of the iPhone 16 series. The smartphone will also be powered by Apple's new A19 processor, with up to 8GB of RAM, aiming to boost performance and speed.
The company has previously stated that the new smartphone could be released around September 2025.
