ALBAWABA – During a live-streamed event, Porsche has unveiled its fastest electric vehicle and most powerful road-legal car so far, the Taycan Turbo GT with over 1,000 horsepower and a 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds, the event welcomed an unexpected guest; Apple’s CEO Tim Cook, to talk about the Vision Pro and Apple’s products used in Porsche facilities.
As Porsche has been expanding its EV line-up during the recent months, with the announcement of an all-electric Macan in Jan, making it the first established model to have an electric makeover, Kevin Giek, vice president of the Taycan product line, commenting “We are continuing this success story with the extensively updated Taycan.”
The Taycan Turbo GT features an exclusive modernized dual-motor powertrain with an ultimate power level of 1,092 horsepower, 988 pound-feet of torque, and a max speed of 190 miles per hour.
Added features also include a comprehensive aerodynamic exterior package and chassis enhancements that give it the appearance and feel of an authentic racing vehicle, with large ceramic brakes, an aerodynamic rear wing, a unique air suspension, and carbon fiber body elements and highlights.
Aside from the new car, Porsche made sure to cameo a host of Apple products from MacBooks to iPhones and Watches all the way to the Vision Pro with a custom Porsche app that shows a 3D view of a racing track and multiple camera feeds from the car during the livestream before welcoming Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, who started his appearance by congratulating the Porsche team on the new vehicle.

And it’s so great to see Apple Vision Pro helping reimagine track experiences.”
