A major $183 million residential development that will form part of the Amwaj Islands project will be up and running by 2009, it was revealed recently. The Amwaj Gateway was launched in a Press conference at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel and Spa. Covering a plot of land measuring around 360,000 square feet, it will feature two high-rise hotels and four residential apartment blocks, along with 94 townhouses.
According to the GDN, the foundation stone for the project will be laid in November and the project is expected to be complete by May 2009.
