Amdocs Limited, Israeli provider of billing, CRM and directory system solutions, signed a seven-year outsourcing agreement valued at hundreds of millions of dollars with SBC Services, Inc., an SBC Communications Inc. company.
The agreement calls for Amdocs to provide key computer systems improvements and maintenance for the SBC directory companies, which publish SBC SMART Yellow Pages in 13 states.
Under the agreement, SBC’s directory subsidiaries will gain performance and cost efficiencies through the outsourcing of services, consolidation, and modernization of their systems into a single integrated solution; and the transitioning of those subsidiaries’ Information Technology (IT) workforces to Amdocs.
Amdocs will provide SBC’s directory subsidiaries with a full outsourcing solution for directory IT services, including day-to-day IT operations, applications development and maintenance, help-desk services, end-user support, implementation services, procurement, facilities and data center services.
Amdocs will consolidate and modernize the directory IT systems into a single solution, based on Amdocs newest generation of ADSNG/Family of Products. The outsourcing agreement will cover SBC’s yellow pages, white pages and electronic products, serving all SBC SMART Yellow Pages’ customers, across all of SBC’s territory.
