Amazon reports strong Q2 2023 results with sales surpassing expectations
The company reported a net income rise to $6.7 billion during Q2 2023

ALBAWABA - Amazon announced its quarterly results for Q2 2023, which witnessed a global sales increase of approximately 11% to $134.4 billion, compared to $121.2 billion during the same period last year, surpassing expectations of $131.4 billion.

The company also reported a net income rise to $6.7 billion during Q2 2023, compared to a net loss of $2 billion during the same period last year, exceeding analyst expectations of $3.59 billion.

In North America, total sales value saw an 11% year-on-year increase, reaching $82.5 billion by the end of June, while international sector sales also grew by approximately 12% year-on-year, reaching $22.1 billion.

Additionally, the company's operating income saw a significant increase to $7.7 billion, compared to $3.3 billion during Q2 of the previous year. Furthermore, Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales experienced a 12% year-on-year increase during Q2 2023, reaching $22.1 billion.
