ALBAWABA - The company "Amalgam," based in the United Kingdom, specializes in crafting miniature models of famous sports cars, meticulously replicating their exterior design down to the smallest details, albeit at a price that some might consider "steep."
Founded in 1995 in Bristol, "Amalgam" gained renown for its exacting replicas of the world's most coveted automobiles.
By maintaining close relationships with leading manufacturers such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin, the company gains access to original CAD data, engineering drawings of the vehicles they emulate, as well as paint codes and color samples.
Utilizing high-resolution images and digital scans, the company recreates each vehicle perfectly. Each 1:8 scale replica, which the company meticulously crafts, takes between 250 to 450 hours of labor to complete, hence the hefty price tags that can reach up to $30,000, depending on the model.
New Car Additions
The company recently announced that it will add the iconic Lamborghini Countach LP400 and the upcoming Lamborghini Revuelto to its impressive collection of 1:8 scale replicas.
The first model in the series, limited to 199 units, will feature all the intricate details of the original car, including functional scissor doors and pop-up headlights, alongside a superbly crafted miniature version of the car, priced at around $19,000. As for the Revuelto, the company has so far only released digital renders of the replica, but its price has been announced at $16,400.
It's worth noting that Amalgam's creations are not limited to toys; they specialize in crafting bespoke artworks for affluent individuals who desire to recreate their precious possessions on a smaller scale.
