Two middle size LPG tankers will be purchased by Sonatrach in partnership with Japanese traders and built by Universal Shipbuilding Corporation, the Algerian oil company announced Wednesday, according to APS.
The Japanese shipbuilder's offer was selected on May 29th in Arzew, at the seat of Hyproc Shipping Company, a subsidiary entrusted with the maritime transport of oil and gas, Sonatrach conveyed.
Both 75,500 cubic meter ships will be delivered in 2007 and 2009. They will be co-financed by Sonatrach up to 25%, Hyproc Shipping Company and Japanese partners Itochu and Mol. They will be chartered by Sonatrach for 20 years. (menareport.com)
