The importance of a new Algerian organization to produce new food packaging products was outlined recently by the Algerian Town Planning and Environment Minister, Cherif Rahmani. In an address following the signature of the agreement with the producers of such packages to establish this new body, the minister noted that the goal of this new partnership “is not to stop the production of plastic bags, but to reduce their use to our needs and that of our economy, as well as combat waste."
