The Algerian government recently declared that it has allocated three billion dollars to the development of local infrastructure over the next three years. The infrastructure system in Algeria is considered the most primitive in North Africa, reported Al-Hayat . The new infrastructure development plan will pave with roads, build dams, housing complexes and hospitals. This plan is expected to stimulate the stagnant contracting sector in the country. Foreign investors have always complained about the bad infrastructure in Algeria. The government is hoping that the new developments will encourage foreign investment in the future. The three-year plan is expected to help Algeria record a seven percent economic growth rate based on a statement by the Treasury Minister, Morad Madlasy. — (menareport.com)
