Emirates’ Al-Ghurair Foods recently announced plans to expand its operations to the Far East. The company envisions the construction of a rice mill in India similar to their fully operational mill in Pakistan.
Al-Ghurair Foods is a unit of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Abdulla Al-Ghurair Group. It’s interests encompass banking, insurance, shopping centers, mineral water, cement manufacturing, flour mills, printing and publishing, tile and marble manufacturing, aluminium extrusion and packaging.
With operations in Lebanon, Algeria, Sri Lanka and Sudan, Al-Ghurair Foods’ total output capacity stands at two million tons, of which 60 percent is exported to foreign markets. — (menareport.com)
