AJWAA denies American rice contamination

The Saudi Ajwaa Food Industries Company denied the relevance of rumors of the existence of lead in American rice imports, reported Al-Jazirah . The Chairman of the Board of the Ajwaa Group, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Jaber Al-Issa, stated that Ajwaa had invested more than 300 million Saudi Riyals ($80 million) in building its rice processing and warehousing facilities at the Jeddah Islamic Seaport. The chairman asserted that the modern quality control laboratories of Ajwaa are capable of detecting any problems related to contaminated rice or other food products. — (menareport.com)
