AJEX 2003 attracts major US companies and associations

AJEX 2003 is attracting leading US public and private organizations to participate in the two day program in Amman from October 22-23. The conference aims to promote trade and investment between the US, Jordan and the region. 

 

The US Importers Association, the Arab American Institute and the American State Offices Association, as well as member of the US government Department of State and Department of Commerce are some of the organizations that have been confirmed to attend and speak at AJEX 2003. The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) and other regional US Chamber of Commerce, such as the Iraqi American Chamber of commerce will also be present.  

 

The participation of Arab American organizations is also very important, and goes toward strengthening US – Arab trade and cultural ties. While the American- Arab community is a relatively small minority, some prominent American Arab's are business and political leaders contributing significantly to their community.  

 

Other US organizations participating in AJEX 2003 include private sector companies already operating in Jordan and Iraq, as well as their regional representatives in the Middle East. — (menareport.com)
