Air Mauritius Awards GAMCO maintenance contract

Air Mauritius, the national airline of the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, has concluded a maintenance support agreement with Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) to provide heavy maintenance for two of its Airbus A319.

 

The maintenance work includes cabin refurbishment, embodiment of special modifications to augment the structural durability of the airframe and inspections of critical areas. GAMCO has also secured the approval of the Mauritius Civil Aviation Department to carry out maintenance work on Mauritius registered aircraft. 

 

Riyaz Kudaroth, Technical Manager at Air Mauritius said: “We have chosen GAMCO as our partner in this demanding project following a detailed assessment and physical inspection of the facility by experts from the Civil Aviation Department of Mauritius. GAMCO’s excellent reputation, impressive maintenance expertise and capabilities have been decisive factors in our decision to partner with them."

 

GAMCO’s CEO Saif Al Mughairy said: “We are delighted to be chosen as the maintenance partner for a reputable airline such as Air Mauritius to manage its maintenance work in Abu Dhabi.
