Air Arabia LLC, the Middle East region's first and only low-fares airline, announced three new destinations at a press conference held at their hub, Sharjah International Airport.  Kabul will provide a vital link for increase in trade and tourism to Afghanistan.  Sharm El Sheikh and Luxor bring the total number of destinations the airline flies to in Egypt to four.  The new routes highlight the carrier's aggressive expansion plans and further demonstrate market demand for affordable travel.

"This is a momentous occasion for our team," said Adel Ali, CEO, Air Arabia.  He added, "Whilst our routes have proven extremely popular for both business and leisure, the popularity of the resorts in and around Sharm El Sheikh and Luxor will allow holiday makers the opportunity to take advantage of the value offered by Air Arabia.  Our brand is becoming synonymous with value for money and soon we will further extend the savings we offer to people across the region when we launch Air Arabia Hotels."

A one-way ticket from Sharjah to Kabul starts from 450 AED, departing Sharjah International Airport twice a week, Monday and Friday at 09.10, arriving in Kabul at 12.10 local time. Flights to Sharm El Sheikh will depart on Thursdays and Sundays at 10.00, arriving at 12.45 local time, with fares starting from 250 AED. Sharjah to Luxor flights also depart on Thursdays and Sundays at 10.00, arriving at 14.10 local time, with fares starting from 300 AED.

Mr. Ali then proceeded to thank the governments of the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Afghanistan.  "The Departments of Civil Aviation in Egypt and Afghanistan have been very supportive and we owe them a deep debt of gratitude.  Ties between the UAE and both nations will continue to grow from strength to strength and we look forward to being a part of that growth," Ali said.

Air Arabia currently flies from Sharjah on nineteen different routes: ten flights weekly to Alexandria; daily to Bahrain, Beirut, Colombo, Damascus, Doha, Mumbai and Muscat; five days a week to Kuwait; four days a week to Dammam; three days a week to Khartoum and Aleppo; and two days a week to Assiut, Jeddah, Kabul, Riyadh, Luxor, Sana’a and Sharm El Sheikh.
