Mr. Mohammad Hussein, the general manager of the Agricultural Bank in
Dyali confirmed that the one of most important objectives of the banks
is to support agriculture in all its aspects. Hussein revealed that the
Bank plans to open three additional branches in the provinces, which
have the best agricultural potential. He added that the Bank would
evaluate the interest rate policy to attract farmers to take loans.
According to <i>Alsabah</i> newspaper, Hussein disclosed that last year the Bank has provided loans to the value of ID1.175 billion for farmers.
