Yemen’s Aden Oil Refinery treated more that 3.1 million tons of local and foreign crude oil from January to July 2002. Some 2.3 million tons of the production, including Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) was exported abroad, reported Saba.
Yemen operates two refineries, one in the southern port city of Aden and the other in the central province of Maareb. The Aden refinery, built by British Petroleum (BP) in 1954, is the older and bigger of the two, with a capacity of refining 150,000 barrels per day (bpd). — (menareport.com)
