Arab Digital Distribution (ADD), a Middle East Pay-TV platform management company, announced the launch of the region’s first pay-TV pre-paid cards in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its Al-Awael bouquet. Al-Awael offers a combination of sports, movies, kids entertainment and the addition of Star Select.
“ADD aims to introduce pioneering concepts for satellite pay-TV in the Middle East. As part of this policy we have introduced the first pre-paid card option for our pay-TV subscriptions in Saudi and UAE. This is an easy to use solution that opens up a new segment of customers to pay-TV,” noted Vinod D’Mello, executive vice president of marketing and network development.
Al-Awael has some 30 predominantly Arabic television channels and is supported by exclusive channels like Manchester United TV, Real Madrid TV, Star Movies, Animal Planet and Sci-Trek. Al-Awael includes a selection of new channels as well as a core selection of existing ART channels including ART Sports 1 & 2, ART Tareb, ART Hekayat and the youth channel ARTeenz. In addition, it offers three Nile channels (Drama, Variety and Sports) and a western English language movie channel (The Film Channel),
ADD focuses on packaging and distributing television channels across the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. The main mission is to provide the best in programming to the target markets in each region.
