Over 10 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at Imam Khoemini port in the southwestern province of Bandar Imam during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (starting March 20).
An official at the ports and shipping office of the province, Parviz Iranshahi said Wednesday that the goods loaded or unloaded included 6.101 million tons of oil products and 4.74 million tons of non-oil goods, respectively showing nine and four percent increases compared with the preceding year's figures, IRIB reported.
According to him, 1.687 million tons of non-oil goods were loaded at Bandar Imam port over the same period, showing a 27 percent expansion.
Chemical materials, iron and constructional materials were the principal goods loaded at the port, he added. (menareport.com)
