Acer Computer Middle East has ventured into an online association with Jacky's Electronics, one of the largest electronics and information technology (IT) online retailer in the Middle East. Acer offered special deals on laptops, computers, servers, and monitors online for the duration of GITEX 2002 in October.
The website logged a 40 percent growth in traffic to the site as increasing numbers of customers started taking advantage of the Acer Gitex promotion online. The product details, buying guides and comparison charts provided on the website also were used by customers to do their pre-buying research.
