Acer Computer has announced a server sales growth of over 40 percent in the Gulf region for the first quarter of year 2002 over the same period in the previous year. The company attributed this increase to a number of factors, including increased focus on the small and medium enterprise (SME) market.

Acer Computer recently announced the Middle East launch of two of its servers - the Acer Altos G300 and G700. The company has provided SME businesses throughout the region with technology solutions that enable organizations to share and access information both internally and externally.

The Acer Altos G300 integrates the latest technologies into a system that is ideally suited for growing businesses looking to get new hardware up and running as quickly as possible and making sure that it fits into their existing network structure. It's standardized and wide-ranging components, as well as the operating systems supported, indicate that installing the Altos G300 is accomplished easily without extensive MIS support.

The Altos G300 is designed with various solutions for solid performance and trouble-free installation. The latest Intel Pentium 4 processors coupled with up to 4GB of ECC DDR-RAM and leading ServerWorks chipset make sure that this server outperforms customers' expectations. The Altos EasyStor removable HDD tray holding three standard IDE or SCSI hard disks in the front allows customers easily pull out, replace and upgrade the storage without having to open up the chassis.

Established in 1976, Acer employs marketing and service operations across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, supporting dealers and distributors in over 100 nations.
