Acer Computer Middle East recorded a 150 percent revenues increase in the first quarter of 2003. Strong sales were driven by Acer's Jebel Ali-based operations and increasing demand from countries in the Middle East for advanced IT applications and services.
Across the region, Acer's notebook PCs experienced the greatest growth in sales ahead of other products. The sales of notebook PCs increased by 200 percent in contrast to the same time last year. Acer server sales escalated by 135 percent over last year's results and business PC sales also increased 160 percent.
Established in 1976, Acer employs marketing and service operations across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, supporting dealers and distributors in over 100 nations. — (menareport.com)
