A global accounting and e-business management solutions provider, ACCPAC, announced on Thursday, February 22, plans to expand their operations in the Middle East, initiated by the opening of their new regional offices in Dubai.

Marc Van der Ven, regional manager of ACCPAC, which is a division of Computer Solutions, told reporters at a press conference that his company has been working with regional companies to provide ACCPAC products in the region for many years.

“ACCPAC is a company that develops solutions to empower small- and medium-sized enterprises to compete in the Internet economy through a range of business management and e-business software,” Van der Ven said.

He added that the strong growth in Middle East IT markets and ACCPAC's international expansion into markets with previous indirect models drove the company to expand its operations in this region.

He also said that ACCPAC's work would be performed through regional partners, thus providing more specific solutions for each market and even each individual enterprise. “Our products have been available in the Jordanian market since 1996 in association with Jordanian Computer Applications and Technical Services providers (CATS),” Van der Ven told reporters.

He added that ACCPAC had recently acquired a new partnership with another Jordanian IT company; Tantash Information Systems Group, which would further help make ACCPAC products available in the Jordanian market.

He also said that ACCPAC established contact with several Jordanian universities to acquaint accounting, business and IT university students with the company's products which according to Van der Ven have become essential tools in the world of accounting and e-business management worldwide. — ( Jordan Times )
